Please read on for more details about our individual governors.
Chair of Governors:

I have been a parent governor since October 2017, having previously been the chair of the Parent and Teacher association at Frogmore Infant School for the last two years. I am a mother of two, my daughter joined the school in 2017 and my son will start his school journey in 2019. As a working parent, I enjoy being able to be actively involved in the improvement and development of the school, even though I am not able to be at the school gate as often as I would like. I am an analyst for Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services, who inspect the police and fire services and do similar assessments to Ofsted. I use this experience to support the governing body in understanding the myriad of data used to assess the school and pupil progress. I am enthused at the progress the school is making and keen to help this develop further, making Frogmore Junior school the best school it can be for our children.
Vice Chair:

I have been a governor at Frogmore Junior School since 2008. Originally as a parent governor, moving to a community governor when my girls left the school. I was invited by Hampshire Governor Services to be part of the Interim Governing Board in Summer 2012, and invited by CAT to be part of the local governing body (LGB) when Frogmore Juniors became an academy in 2013. I have fulfilled most of the tasks and roles during my time as a governor, currently I have a specific interest in Maths. In addition to my monitoring visits to the school, I regularly help with ‘Listen 2 Me’ (Hampshire Music Services’ whole class instrumental teaching programme). This allows me to build up relationships, and gives me a good insight into the school, its journey to become outstanding, and seeing the pupils on their journey to become “lifelong learners”.
I currently work as a lead exams invigilator, and have voluntary roles with the North East Hants area schools orchestras and run my own Brownie unit.
Head Teacher:

Parent Governors:

I undertook my role as a governor at Frogmore Junior School in October 2017. As a parent of two children at the school I am particularly interested in promoting the development of, education at and community impression of the school. I have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant and also volunteered as a classroom support assistant at Frogmore Infant School.
I enjoy offering my help and support on trips, with after-school activities and at organised events where possible, as I believe that a strong connection between parents and the school has a positive effect and supports the community as a whole. I am enjoying taking on the challenging role of a governor and am looking forward to aiding the school, its staff and pupil on the journey to outstanding.
Staff Governors:

I am a staff governor although my son and daughter also attend Frogmore Juniors. I believe I am a passionate and driven teacher who loves teaching. I am part of the Senior Leadership Team and I relish this role as it allows me to share my love of English with staff and children alike.
I have been teaching for 17 years and am currently English lead. I have taught all year groups however, I currently teach year 3. There are many aspects of teaching that excites me. I find the most rewarding aspect of the job is the rapport you build up with the children and how you see them progress and develop overtime. I thrive on the daily challenges that teaching provides and try to make learning enthralling and exciting in my classroom for all learners, no matter what their ability or background. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family.

Community Governors:

I have been a governor of at Frogmore Juniors since March 2017, with responsibility for English teaching and learning.
I teach Chemistry at Gordon's School in Woking, where I am also responsible for maintaining links to a number of mainstream infant, junior and senior schools in the area. As part of this role I ensure that a meaningful programme of activities, resources and enrichment events are provided to our partner schools. These include support with drama, art, literacy, sport and music, as well as delivering inset training to staff in a number of areas, such as supporting pupils with dyslexia.
I studied Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol and completed my PGCE at the University of Exeter some years later. I am passionate about teaching science as it fires the imagination and creativity of young people, and is a hugely rewarding career.
As a teacher I have a keen interest in shaping the futures of young people. I enjoy working with pupils of all abilities and I believe every child should have the opportunity to achieve well and access their full potential.

Clerk to the Governing Body:

I have been Clerk to the Interim Local Governing Body since 2014 and I am employed by Hampshire Governor Services to provide clerking support to a number of schools across North Hampshire. The clerking role includes the administration of the governing body but also provides advice and support on procedural and legal matters.
